The Fortnite Mobile Signs Ups for Android and iOS are now live
Fans will need to use the link featured on the site to post their email addresses and complete the process of joining the pilot program.
Signing up for an Epic account is the first step toward this, with the game coming first to iPhones and iPads.
“Ready to play Fortnite Battle Royale on your iOS device?” the post reads.
“Sign up below for the Fortnite Invite Event on iOS waiting list. We will send you an email invite as soon as you can play.”
Android users can also sign up for Fortnite Mobile access, although these devices won’t be supported until later this year.
“We will send you an email invitation with a link to download the game from the App Store, as soon as you can play. New invites will roll out as the servers can handle more players.”
“We expect to rollout Android in the next few months. If you are on an Android device, please sign up by clicking the button above. We’ll notify you when your Android device is supported.”
A new Fortnite Mobile game is being released, meaning a lot of new players gaining access to the Epic Games hit title.
This will start as pilot program which may take quite some time before it reaches a full 1.0 app launch.
When it comes to a release date, the development team behind the new version have not confirmed an exact timing.
But what we do know is that interested players on iOS will get the first chance to try out Fortnite Mobile.
The official pilot program sign up to download the new game begins later today, meaning a big countdown for those who want to make the cut.
The sign up process will be through the official www.Fortnite.com site, and will only be available for iOS, at this time.
No release time has been given for when this might start, so fans will want to keep an eye on the official Fortnite Twitter page for more information.
Fortnite Mobile Sign Ups have begun
It sounds like the new Fortnite Mobile rollout will begin pretty quickly on iOS, although it’s unclear just how limited the initial launch will be.
As noted above, this will not include Android players for the time being, who may have to wait months for access.
For those who don’t get an iOS invite this week, Epic Games say they will be adding more players regularly over the coming months.
It should also be noted that players who receive invites from Epic will also get friend invite codes to share with others.
Fortnite players on iOS will need a compatible device and an internet connection strong enough to take part.
This will mean a device that can run iOS 11 on at least an iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad 2017.
